The area around the villa

Belvedere Villas are located in a quiet area just outside of Prasies village in front of Prassano gorge, around 9 km away from the city of Rethymno.

The surrounding area is a quiet, natural environment ideal for relaxation but also close to shops, restaurants and various services.

Close to the villa you will find several beaches that you should visit. The most closest one is the long sandy beach of Platanias (7 km) with various organised spots with sun beds, taverns and beach bars or secluded quiet spots. The beach of Episkopi (24 km) is 10 km long and goes until the village of Georgioupoli which also has an organised beach (32 km).

The closest tavern from the villa is located in Misiria area. Supermarkets and more shops are found nearby the beach in Rethymno area (8 km).

The other attractive spots nearby the villa are Prassano gorge (140 m), Milli gorge (9.6 km) and the Potami Dam Lake (14 km), etc and we will be happy to make you suggestions and directions for places which only locals know about them.

The villa’s location is ideal for one more reason, it is also close to the main national road, thus making excursions around Crete a very easy thing to do.
